Infinity Friends Club
Weekly club with activities and friendships.
Monksland Social Club
Infinity Friends is a social club for autistic youth. Our members meet weekly to make friends and take part in ability based activities. We meet at the Monksland Community Centre and have over 50 children attending 5 clubs.
The club aims to foster growth and confidence in the childrens’ abilities and skills through participation in community based activities, leisure activities and self care activities.

Community Activities
Engaging in community activities can greatly benefit autistic children by providing opportunities for social interaction, skill development, and a sense of belonging. These activities foster inclusion and understanding within the broader community, promoting empathy, diversity, and acceptance of differences while enhancing the overall social fabric and cohesion.
Our teen group are currently working with Monksland town team to develop a sensory garden in the area.

Leisure Activities
All clubs take part in activities outside of the usual meet ups in the community centre e.g. Horse-riding, bowling, soft play etc. We are lucky to have such great facilities in our community.
Leisure activities offer autistic children opportunities for relaxation, self-expression, and sensory stimulation in a supportive environment. Engaging in such activities can enhance their communication skills, emotional regulation, and social interactions while promoting overall well-being and a sense of enjoyment and fulfillment.

Self-Care Activities
Infinity Friends have held a mental health wellbeing workshop for our teen group. We hope to roll this out to our other age groups also.
Self-care activities empower autistic children to develop essential life skills and promote independence, confidence, and self-awareness. By engaging in activities tailored to their needs, such as hygiene routines, mindfulness exercises, and sensory regulation techniques, they can cultivate emotional resilience, reduce anxiety, and improve overall quality of life.

My 14 year old daughter Abbie has recently joined the group , its a long time since I’ve seen her so comfortably around a group of people. It’s brilliant to see her just being herself and having fun. It’s a chance for her to make friends for life. And she is loving it.
Thanks INFINITY FRIENDS For having us.
